Fit, Fitness, Training and Trainers

Well today saw me head west to the home of Ironman 70.3 Western Sydney. Penrith boasts some great triathletes but now also can boast some fantastic services and venues to go along with the athletes.

My first stop was to visit Ryan Williams at 3D Bike Fit.

Occasionally, in my triathlon travels, I meet someone who you would like to spend lots of hours, possibly over a few beers, and just pick their brain and hear their stories and theories. Ryan is one of those people.

His bike fit knowledge and the way he explains his theories and methodology crystallises what he is trying to achieve. His list of successes is long, and I can understand why, whenever we get a "Which bike fitter?" thread on the forum Ryan’s name is at the top of the list of recommendations. Stay tuned for my report and a special Transitions offer.

While out there I got to look around the Atmosphere Health Club.

Unbelievable would be the only word to describe this place.

If you were to design the best health club you could imagine, then combine it with the latest and greatest gym equipment, then throw in a multisport studio and a 50m indoor pool then you may go close to getting the gist of what this place has to offer. More on this soon.

Courtesy of Apollo bikes Australia I have also picked up a Tacx I-Genius trainer to put through its paces as the cooler weather sets in. Time to clear some space in the garage and get set to sweat.

Safe training everyone.
